(Ca,Na) [(Al,Si)2Si2O8]   with   Ca:Na = 50-70%        triklinic -pinacoidal
Zoned crystal, cut and polished approximately parallel to (001).
The coloured "schiller" is due to diffraction of light at submicroscopically thin exsolution lamellae.
Golovino, Ukraine.
